"Tiptoe Thru" was inspired by the vast array of tulips this spring at
Garvan Woodland Gardens in my hometown of Hot Springs, Arkansas. I wanted to
capture the bright reds and many greens with my pencils using the layering
and glazing technique. I think that an interesting composition should be the
foundation for any drawing and looking down into the flowers gave me an
unusual perspective to work from.
Nature has always been my muse!
